Questions

What’s the difference between a shot list and a storyboard?

A storyboard is pictures of each shot. A shot list is the checklist: each shot in order with its size, angle, move and lens. Many crews use a shot list with one reference picture per shot.

How do I name shots?

Scene number plus a letter for each set-up: 12A, 12B, 12C. The slate and the camera report use the same names, so the editor can find everything.

Can SyncedCue track it on the day?

Yes. Plan shots in Studio → Takes. A shot ticks itself off when one of its takes is circled, and every crew screen sees what’s left.

Plan the shots once. Tick them off as you go.
