For video crews, speakers and churches with an iPad on hand
An iPad prompter for a glass rig, run from your laptop.
Scan a QR code and the iPad becomes the prompter — in a glass rig in front of the lens, on a pulpit, or on a stand by the camera. You run the script from your laptop, or hand someone a phone as the remote.
Opens in Safari on any iPad. Nothing to install from the App Store.
Where every screen goes
The iPad goes in the rig, Studio stays on the cart and the talent can hold the remote.
Where the iPad goes
In a glass rig
Mirror the text so it reads correctly in a beam-splitter prompter in front of the lens.
On a pulpit or lectern
Large type a speaker can read at a glance, with the countdown kept on a separate monitor.
Under the camera
Propped below the lens for interviews and talking-head videos.
As the stage monitor
Switch it to Monitor and it shows the countdown, the time and the next words instead.
Link the iPad in three steps
Pick what the screen is
In Studio, choose Teleprompter, Monitor or Remote. A QR code appears.

Point the phone or tablet camera at the code. SyncedCue opens in its browser — nothing to install.

iPad questions
Do I need to download an iPad app?
No. The iPad scans a QR code from Studio and opens SyncedCue in Safari.
Can it mirror text for a beam-splitter rig?
Yes. Tap the Mirror button on the prompter toolbar so the text reads correctly through the glass.
Will the iPad screen turn off mid-take?
SyncedCue keeps the screen awake while the prompter is open. If an older iPad still dims, set Auto-Lock to Never for the shoot.
Can the speaker control it themselves?
Yes. Any phone can join as a remote for play, pause, speed and section jumps.
Can the whole thing run on the iPad alone?
SyncedCue is built for a laptop running Studio and the iPad as the screen. The laptop is where you edit, time and cue the show.
Does it need the internet?
You need a connection to open SyncedCue. Once devices are linked, the script, cues and timer travel directly between them — on the same Wi-Fi or a phone hotspot.
