Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

This policy explains what data SyncedCue collects, why, and how you can control it. We wrote it in plain language on purpose.

The short version

  • We do not sell your personal data. Ever.
  • The free teleprompter stores nothing server-side — your scripts stay in your browser.
  • We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site (aggregated, anonymised).
  • Stripe handles all payments — we never see or store your card details.
  • You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us.

1. Who We Are

SyncedCue is a browser-based teleprompter application. Our website is https://syncedcue.com.

For privacy questions, contact us at [email protected].

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only what we genuinely need to operate the service:

2a. Data you give us directly

  • Email address — if you create a Pro account or contact support.
  • Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We receive only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
  • Script content — stored in your browser's local storage. Not transmitted to our servers.

2b. Data collected automatically

  • Analytics — Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled.
  • Server logs — retained by Netlify for up to 30 days.
  • Cookies — Google Analytics and Stripe fraud prevention cookies only.

2c. Data we do NOT collect

  • We do not record your microphone or webcam.
  • We do not store recordings you make — they download directly to your device.
  • We do not read, store, or transmit your script text to any third party.
  • We do not build advertising profiles or sell data to data brokers.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To operate the teleprompter service and manage your account.
  • To process payments securely via Stripe.
  • To send transactional emails (receipts, account updates).
  • To understand how the product is used so we can improve it.
  • To detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To respond to support requests you send us.

If you are located in the EEA or UK, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract — processing your payment and delivering the service.
  • Legitimate interests — analytics, server logs for security.
  • Consent — any optional data collection or marketing communications.
  • Legal obligation — retaining transaction records as required by law.
